Este show tiene un arranque jamaicano una musica que me apasiona y vuelve a mi cada cierto tiempo,como dijo alguinen que vivia en Londres,(cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme),cuando oyes esta musica te viene a la cabeza que en algun lugar hay sol.Como disco del mes esta el single de Los Granadians,"por muchos años que pasen" tema de su vertiente mas lirica,pincho la s 2 caras del vinilo.tambien suenan Pioners,Maytals,Untouchables,Amy Winehouse,Roy Allis,Lauel A.,....luego segumos con soul Teenagers,Pepperpots (conciertazo en el ye ye con Maxime Brown,uno de los mejores conciertos de mi vida)seguimos con mas soul de antes y de ahora.

 Dedique el anterior programa al Purple Weekend no podia ser menos que dedicar uno al Beat goes on 2011,no pude poner nada de los Chavales  pero no por falta de ganas,no encontre nada de ellos ,pero mas abajo tienes un video sacado de youtube con un tema de su EP podeis conseguirlo aqui, me encanta su single y ya lo tengo en mi lista de compra.Es el disco del mes de Diciembre .La segunda parte del show variamos hacia el mod revival power-pop...

watusi show purple weekend 2011.

Este año vuelve el Purple, añejo festival esta vez con un gran elenco de bandas,aparte de las bandas conocidas por tod@s os aconsejo  go! freaks y swamp cabbage,esta sonando ya un especial en modradio con casi todas las bandas del cartel(todas menos dos,sorry),ojala pueda ir.
Mencionar una concentracion en Gijon,en la misma fecha,lo cual es una faena quita brillo a las dos convocatorias,el año que viene que no se repita por favor!.

Este mes de noviembre que nos deja , el watusi nos decubre una banda canadiense que se ha merecido se disco del mes THE TRANZMITORS LP del 2007,banda influencia 1979  !!!

Alzo and udine C'mon and Join Us (Mercury, 1968),



Alzo & Udine were Alzo Fronte and Uddi "Udine" Alinoor, one of those "only in New York" combos of singer/songwriters who only released this one album together in the late '60s. I'm not even certain where I first heard this LP (probably at the Groove Merchant), but it's been one of the sleeper albums that I'll forget about and then rediscover how awesome it is. It's hard to classify this LP; if I mashed up all the various descriptions of it, it'd be something like "Latin soul hippy folk pop" though I find the Latin elements more subtle compared to the folksy pop touches, especially on the vocals. Basically, this is happy music; it sounds happy and should make you feel happy.
